EDCT 556 – Technology, Pedagogy, and Society
These were the goals for the course:
- To recognize and discuss the ways that technologies are entangled in issues of power, privilege, identity, and agency (PEg).
- To understand how learning and technology are situated and articulated within complex sociocultural issues such as age, gender, race/ethnicity, social class, sexual orientation, language, and social capital and its intersections (PEb).
- To reflect on our personal and professional experiences within the changing media landscape and analyze how these experiences are drenched in the social (Dc).
- To summarize and critique key sociocultural concepts and educational models in the field of digital media and education and as related to technological access and usage (PEe, Dc, De).
