The goals of this course were:
- To develop the skills and knowledge for reading and evaluating curriculum research
- To consider connections between curriculum, ideology, and research methodology
- To explore the ways that curriculum research has evolved over the past 50 years
- To examine the interrelationships of the political landscape, curriculum research, and educational policy
- To develop and articulate curriculum philosophies, providing the basis for curriculum research and application in the classroom
- To learn how to plan, conduct, and carry out curriculum research
