  • To develop the skills and knowledge for reading and evaluating curriculum research
  • To consider connections between curriculum, ideology, and research methodology
  • To explore the ways that curriculum research has evolved over the past 50 years
  • To examine the interrelationships of the political landscape, curriculum research, and educational policy
  • To develop and articulate curriculum philosophies, providing the basis for curriculum research and application in the classroom
  • To learn how to plan, conduct, and carry out curriculum research
